RAINA CHRISTESON (IM, 2016) will be practicing, performing, and swimming at a Chamber Music Camp summer on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe for the first two weeks of July.

Then its back to San Francisco and the Mission district to one of the greatest places for engaging and challenging writing experiences: 826 Valencia.

This year, the theme for their Young Authors' Workshops is "Honoring Diversity of Experience, Voice, and Background: Ways of Documenting the Self through Oral and Official Histories".

Take this whole summer, toss in competitions with her swim team, the Sava Serpents, learning new music, and tackling her summer reading, that's a recipe for a very interesting summer.

Diversity is definitely a recurring theme.
